at the base of the tree did he place the offering before preparing the ritual to purify himself.

out into the field did he walk weapon in hand, bathed in the light of the moon did he begin to whirl and twirl allowing his blade to sing through the cool night air till his arms grew heavy and his blade slowed.

heart pounding did he go back the the tree to make his offering to his gods and perfrom the ceremony.

kneeling at the base of the tree under the full moon did he remove his knife and prepare to make his offering of blood and wine and make his plea to his gods that they grant his hearts one true desire.

to the two familys of the gods and to the great spirit did he make his request before mixing his blood with the wine and offering it up as tribute.
